There is something – probably about the only thing — that can make everything feel right again. That is, of course, a victory over No. 9-ranked Ohio State in the regular season finale Saturday, Nov. 21, at Ann Arbor, Mich.
If the Wolverines upset their rival in the Noon EST game, they will become bowl eligible. A loss would keep Michigan out of the postseason for the second straight year.
Of course, Michigan (5-6 overall, 1-6 Big Ten Conference) is a considerable underdog. Coach Rich Rodriguez's team is on a four-game losing streak, and has dropped six of seven games after a 4-0 start. And the Wolverines have fallen in six consecutive Big Ten contests, including a 45-24 decision at No. 17 Wisconsin last week.
