Burlington, Vt. - Located on Lake Champlain between the Adirondack and Green Mountains, Burlington serves as the perfect backdrop for poets, writers and artists to create their magic. The bright little downtown district couldn't be any cuter, from the open air Church Street marketplace, to quiet sidestreets dotted with galleries and shops.

The art scene here is first rate and is widely encouraged by the community. The Burlington City Arts (BCA), an independent, not-for-profit organization is a group dedicated to integrating artists into the community.Their arts programs are designed to be all-inclusive, emanating the "leave no man behind" kind of mantra. The BCA offers a variety of art programs, from public art spaces, to artist and writers residencies, as well as developmental programs for children to fully incorporate creativity into the community. They also offer clay, printmaking and darkroom studios that are open to the public to teach, nurture, and inpsire creativity.
